Our Story

We believe our journey together is a beautiful reflection of Jehovah's loving guidance. Though our paths in life looked different, He brought us together at exactly the right time — through good mutual friends who saw something special in the idea of us together, even though we'd never met.
We were each content in our own routines as singles and hadn't been looking for a relationship. But when it turned out to be each other, we said yes to at least giving it a try over dinner. Our first meal together was at a Mexican restaurant in Artesia. The conversation flowed easily, and we quickly recognized how many values, interests, and views we had in common — and decided to keep getting to know each other. That first dinner became our first date.
We love good food and long walks, so our dates since have mostly meant exploring foodie spots and strolling through parks together. Open, honest communication became the foundation of our relationship — and studying the Your Family Can Be Happy brochure together helped us naturally talk through the questions that mattered, while sharing spiritual thoughts and meditations showed us how deeply we both cherish our relationship with Jehovah. The more time we spent together, the more we realized how aligned our wavelengths really are — and how easy it is to simply be ourselves with each other.
Little by little, our confidence in each other grew, and we began to picture a future together. In our fifth month of dating, James got down on one knee at a photo booth we'd been wanting to try — and asked Meeso to marry him. (Funny enough, we'd joked about engagement just two days before, so Meeso briefly wondered if the ring box was a prop!)
On May 27, 2026, we got engaged. We're grateful for every blessing and lesson that has shaped us, and we look forward to building a happy, faithful marriage — a three-fold cord with Jehovah at the center. We're so glad you're here to celebrate this day with us.
